I’m loving the denim on denim trend that’s popping up everywhere and when I spotted this Old Navy button up, on sale I might add, I knew it was meant to be. Paired with Rock & Republic jeans, the day got colder and the faux fur vest came out. Not an outfit I would have normally put together but as I’m taking more chances and reworking pieces I have, I’m in love with the idea of mixing similar fabrics of different shades. Another masculine vs feminine look that I adore.
P.S. I couldn’t have an at home outfit shoot without our dog babies. Followers…say hello to Dunkin (on the left) and Stoli!!!
After a small but successful shopping spree yesterday with my mum, I knew these yellow beauties had to appear with the sun shinning today. When the sun is out and temperatures reach 30, I have to take advantage of it. Forecast says possible snow in a few days…this weather change is really affecting my desires for pastels, open toed shoes, and floral prints. Although it’s not officially spring yet, NYFW has come and gone and I am outfit inspired by all the fabulous photos posted throughout the week. Bright colors called for minimal accessories including stud earrings, my favorite av’s, and a pinky ring.
I’m not much of one to copy and paste photos, but this Fall 2012 line by DSquared2 screams the masculine feminine mix that I so love. Just for one piece, my pocket would permanently be burned and I would be more then ok with that. Talk about fashion inspiration overload. Cigarette pants, collared t’s, cuffed jeans, pencil skirts, pumps…YES PLEASE!!!
Michigan’s weather has completely changed and I’m starting to realize that not so many layers are necessary. Normally around this time there is snow on the ground, but I’m not complaining that I’m seeing grass even though it is still brownish-green. No matter what the day brings, a scarf can always be thrown on to complete the look. It has become my favorite accessory and even came in handy during my trip to Dallas in 70 degree weather. Christian Siriano always said there should be one piece that you make your signature…I believe I have found mine.

If the traditional scarf is more your thing, change things up by tying it in different ways. Which one of these is your fav? Check out these five scarf folding videos via REFINERY29.
Ok so this scarf has made an appearance for all three days of the dealershow but living out of a suitcase is not something I’m used to. I guess I should have lived up to Rachel Zoe’s advice of “options, options, options”. The flats yesterday sure made an impact and I realized that being a heel lover, my feet have surprisingly got used to them. I pulled the Fergalicious boots back out (seen here), threw on another pair of leggings and went on my way happy as a clam. With leggings like these, simplicity everywhere else was the ticket…kind of get that Steven Tyler vibe don’t ya think? With inflight WIFI on the way back to Michigan, I’m thinking my first weekend trip of outfit posts via Harley-Davidson gear was pretty darn fashion forward. What do you guys think?
It was all about comfort, knowing I was going to be on my feet for 12 hours, so my leopard print flats finally got their debut. I’m a high heel, wedges, platform lover but no way would my toes live to see another day. Skinny jeans + a cardigan + a scarf along with my corduroy “great find” tote = a comfortable outfit for a day of buying. Seeing all the new clothes for Spring as well as the 2013 line was very exciting and a great experience for my future. A bonus to this trip was seeing the two new bikes Harley released…I do love my job. When your working you don’t even realize what day it is. This trip makes it feel like the weekend is four days long. I will miss you Texas sunshine!!!

Wednesday I arrived in Dallas, Texas for the 2012 Harley-Davidson Dealershow. I was so happy to get out of the Michigan snow and into 74 degree weather. I’ve been so busy with shopping the new lines that its kept me away from blogging. As much as the H-D attire is not part of my usual everyday wear, I incorporate it when needed. Adding a little hint of me, like my DIY studded collared shirt here, as well as some much needed accessories sums up my quick trip to the “go big or go home” state.
